White Shade Photography was established by Wai Cheng. Born in Hong Kong and completed his high school studies in London before he traveled to Australia to study Visual Arts at the University of Sydney.

Since his return to Hong Kong in 2001 after working in several photographic studios in London, Wai has been in the Hong Kong photographic industry for over a decade working in various aspects of Advertising Photography from Location Scout to Production. Combining his knowledge in Visual Arts with his extensive experience in Advertising Photography, Wai established White Shade Photography in 2013.

White Shade Photography aims to capture and portray the genuine beauty of every model, object, and space.  We are determined to provide world-class photographic services.  Clients include the Hong Kong Jockey Club, Louis Vuitton, Gucci, as well as local Hong Kong companies such as Philippe V. and Inarc Design.  Images created by Wai for Inarc Design helped them win the 'International Property Awards - World's Best Award' in 2014, 2015 and 2016.

White Shade Photography is also committed to working pro-bono for several Charities, latest project includes 'Music in the Light' - a charity concert to raise funds and awearness for the Hong Kong Blind Union, a charity committed to acquire opportunities, achieve equality and independence for the visually impaired.
